The Lost Dog application, published by Aviiron (SIRET: 909 450 975 000 26), is the official mobile app of the website lost-dog.org. This policy describes the collection, use, and protection of users’ personal data.

• - display listings on a map around their location,
• - log in to an existing personal account to view their own listings.

2. Data Collected

The application does not automatically collect personal information other than that voluntarily provided by the user to log in to their account.

3. User Accounts

Account creation is not possible from the application; only an existing account can be used to log in. Account passwords are stored on the server in hashed form. Accounts and associated email addresses are retained until the user requests deletion (delete personal data).
Minors may use the application only if the account was created with the consent of their legal guardian.

4. Location

The application may access the user’s precise or approximate location to center the map around the user’s position. Location is requested only while the application is in use. It is neither stored nor sent to a remote server. It can be denied without affecting the use of the application. The user can revoke this consent via their device settings.

5. Cookies and APIs

• The application works with an internet connection by connecting to the lost-dog.org API (in French), lost-dog.org (in English), and perro-perdido.com (in Spanish).
• Cookies and trackers present on the website do not apply to the application’s API requests.

6. Data Security and Storage

• All data sent to the server is transmitted via HTTPS.
• Data is stored on OVH servers in France.
• There is no distinction between iOS or Android logs. No iOS User-Agent is stored.

7. Sharing with Third Parties

The application does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties (advertising, marketing, analytics partners).
